Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Blockd mobile application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Blockd is a content blocking and accountability app for iOS. The App provides system-wide DNS content filtering via a local VPN tunnel and real-time accountability monitoring through partner connections. When protection is disabled, your accountability partner is notified within seconds. The App offers both free and subscription-based features.

Accounts

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or use the App as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Guest accounts have limited functionality and cannot be recovered if you sign out.

Subscriptions & Billing

Blockd Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited custom domain blocks and time-based scheduling.

• Annual plan: $39.99/year
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Pricing may change. We will notify you in advance of any price changes.

Content Filtering Disclaimer

Blockd filters content at the DNS level by blocking domain name resolution requests. While effective for the vast majority of unwanted content, DNS filtering is not a guarantee that all objectionable content will be blocked. Determined users may find workarounds. The App is designed as a deterrent and accountability tool, not an unbreakable content wall. We do not warrant that the filtering will be error-free or comprehensive.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to reverse-engineer the App, circumventing protection features on behalf of another user, using the service for any unlawful purpose, or abusing the accountability notification system.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to content that may bypass the filtering system.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the App. Account deletion will notify your accountability partners and remove all server-side data.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
